About Tim Rawle . . .
At the heart of The Cambridge Portfolio is a collection of pictures taken by Tim Rawle over many years, possibly the finest set of Cambridge images to be found anywhere ~ as a member of the university for over three decades, he knows Cambridge intimately and has continuing access to locations denied to most photographers. After studying at St Martin’s School of Art and The Central School of Art & Design in London, Tim Rawle went on to train as an Architect at Downing College, Cambridge and the Architectural Association. In 1984 he wrote Cambridge Architecture, a comprehensive study of the city at that time. His last book, Cambridge, published in 2005, was reviewed in the University Magazine CAM as “...the best introduction to Cambridge ever published”. He is currently working on a new book about ‘the other place’, Oxford.
Tim Rawle also works as a freelance Photographer and Graphic Designer: please visit www.timrawle.com to see more of his work.
