Tim Rawle Tim Rawle was born in Kent. After leaving school he undertook an Arts foundation course at Saint Martin's School of Art, followed by a degree course in Graphic Design at the Central School of Art & Design, London. From Art School he went up to Downing College, Cambridge to read Architecture, after which he was awarded the Caldicott Scholarship for postgraduate study at the Architectural Association. Having spent two years working as an assistant architect he left architectural practice to work as a graphic designer, photographer and author. His first book, Cambridge Architecture, published in 1985, is the most comprehensive pictorial survey of the city ever undertaken, accompanied by an equally informative text. In 1991 he set up The Cambridge Portfolio, which specialises in publications unique to this beautiful city. |
